WHAT'S LOOKING EXOTIC IN 2015

It colours up nicely though. My wee cutting from last year has been in bloom for a while now...............


Asarum proboscideum is both small and shy hiding under the foliage as it does. Still a bit of a gem and exotic by dint of not being seen anything like often enough..............

It was just coming into bloom at OBG last week.............


Tell Mrs.Shiney she'll have to make do with a Lachenalia viridiflora.............


Or an Ixia viridiflora...................

 

Impatiens kilimanjari was put outdoors a few weeks ago and has started blooming.............


Beschorneria yuccoides is getting exciting now...............

 

I love that Ixia Longk, that's not flowering now is it?

 

Sadly it's not mine. I have a few seed grown corms but they're still dormant

 

My little carnivorous collection is springing into life with one of pitchers producing a stunning flower

A good carnivorous collection. Do you keep them inside all year?
I see the native Sundews are just starting to make growth around here in the bogs.

My seed grown Canarina canariensis has just opened its first bloom..................

 

A few things looking exotic, but not much flowering.

After being nearly destroyed by our puppy earlier on last winter, Justicia rizzinii is growing back strong, and even had two flower buds!

Yes it is :-) for the past 3 years

 

Thanks, that is good to know especially as you're further north than me. I've only ever known it as a houseplant.
