To start things off. I think we will end up with a labour minority government that wont use confidence and demand to stay in power.

 There is a dilemma in this question.
Who do you think will win and
Who do you want to win.

I don't care who wins as long as they run the country in the right way, there too much rule bending and brecking of the law and it's not being policed

I dont quite understand the rules, but is it possible that the party that comes second can form a coalition with another party in order to form a government???

Yeah Pete. Basically if no party gets an overall majority then it would be upto the smaller parties to side with one of the two larger. Then if they decided to side with the party that came second then they would form a coalition.
But, it depends on the party that wins to decide that they do not want to form a minority government.

            Thanks.

Right so if this so called election was going on in Zimbabwe (Rhodesia), we would all call it corrupt.
I'm not sure there is any point in voting in an election where after the vote, the politicians then decide on who will run the country.
This really does show how out dated our system of election is.

A weak minority government that will signal the begining of end of our electoral system and then the amicable break up of the UK.

I don't think any break up of the UK can, or will be, amicable, WT. The SNP have already got their original forecast figures wrong regarding the oil revenue, which has dropped by more than a half, which they regarded as a vital element of tax revenue should they have gone independent. I notice that they have never even mentioned that fact. Nor do they mention the fact that up to 11,000 jobs would go if Trident was removed from Scotland, which I'm sure that 11,000 workers would welcome if it came to England or Wales. We do need to toss the First Past the Post system overboard, that's true, but doing that would not lead to the UK breaking.........only the fanaticism of the SNP not understanding, or wanting to, any part of the Scottish referendum which said NO to Scottish Independence. Any party of any political leaning that on having a referendum, which then goes against them, refuses to accept that while professing to be democratic and a "party of the people" cannot be either. If they were either then they would accept the fact that the Scottish population voted the way they didn't want but all the signs are that they will keep asking for referendum after referendum until they wear the Scottish people down. "Together we stand, divided we fall" is for me a saying that needs all members of the UK need to contemplate.:coffee::snork:

Prop rep needs to come in to engage more of the population maybe even compulsory voting ?

As for the SNP. No one worldwide was predicting the halving of the oil price. The loss of trident jobs would devastate the local economy but hundreds of jobs have recently been lost in the north sea, at velux in fife, at a wood processor this week in fife, at a power station and no one has given a monkees about that or done anything to stop it.

The conduct of Dave Cam this week with his anti Scots rhetoric will have ensued a complete demise of pro union mp`s north of the border and by going back on his word after the referendum he will have given the SNP such a boost that independence is now a certainty. Dave cam has been the SNP`s biggest vote winner in the last few months but maybe that is a deliberate tactic by the illuminati ?

Anyway all this is above my pay grade so I`ll stay out in the garden enjoying the simple things in life . ;)
