Goodness, you kept quiet about those. Well done on your early harvest.

(I shall have words with mine about their poor performance.)

          Well that is early.

I'd be interested to know what kind of heating you are using and how much.

Well done alex. Same question as pete, I'd like to know a few details - when did you sow?

Wow, impressive. My tomato plants are about 6" high and cucumbers around 3".

              hi all
These are from my first sowing January 9th in heated propagator, brought them on in conservatory giving them some extra light ( 3 hours per day) from old 3ft aquarium lights until mid march
Sown individually in small children's yoghurt pots. Potted up into 3-1/2" pots 27th January.
Potted up into 6" pots 17th February
Potted up into 12" pots 15th march.
              First tomato spotted 17th march
              Moved into greenhouse April 12th
Have a 2kw electric heater with a very good separate thermostat (bio green Thermo 2) which keeps the bills right down. (average 20p per day)
Other tomatoes in this greenhouse sown and progressed at same time
sungold , juane flame, St pierrie, beefmaster, spudakee, amish gold
Amish gold is the only other variety showing signs of ripening
Have in conservatory which were sown end of feb and mid March to go in cold greenhouse
Gardeners delight (which I said I would not grow again but am trying seeds from two other suppliers to try and replicate that taste I remembered from years ago) juane flamme, amish gold and sungold
Plus five cuc's 3 Boothby blond and 2 chrystal apple
Four sweet peppers Ariane which will stay in conservatory with a few chilli's
As for taste very similar to what I remember Gardeners delight to taste like a bit tart but very good
              Regards alex

Hi JWK It is set at 11degrees C and maintains 10 degrees on my max min thermometers
I tented with bubble wrap at night over wires with a 4 feet ceiling and removed during the day.
I have retired now so time to do this as greenhouse is 3 metres from back door
                Regards Alex
