Yup, I put a door frame in too, fixed to the top frame and scaffold boards, interior bed edging boards and the frame extends underground where the two posts are also connected for extra rigidity, a door threshold was added at ground level. It's actually amazing how much extra strength this gives the whole structure. Both door frames are in but only one door so far, I'll make the other up at a later date.

    Steve...:)

So Yesterday, I did a little bit more to Tunnel #2.

Using 2 of the off-cuts of scaffold board, I created 2 nice sized shelves which form part of the door end structure :-

I then thought that I would apply the anti hot spot tape :-

And then as time was going so well, thought ...... 'Let's put the cover on!'

At this point, my phone battery got so low, it would not allow me to use the camera function :(

I am over the moon with the height inside, I have around 3" of space between the top of my head and the where the bolts stick through.

I now need to clad the outside of the scaffold boards so that there is no gap between them and the ground, and then line the floor with weed control fabric. Hopefully, this will be done today :)

Just to add, I need to cut out the scaffold board/metal tube at the bottom of the doorway in this pic, so that there is no huge step into or out of the tunnel.

And this is the proposed layout for my 2015 Chilli Grow Season, each growbag tray will have 3 pots...... Or at least that is the plan :snork:

Isn't that going to mean a lot of watering everyday?

Why not plant them direct into the soil?

Good work on the tunnel BTW! I could do with hiring you for a day

No Craig, as the pots will be sat in the Grow bag trays which will have nutrient enriched water in at all times, so they will draw up into the pot what they need. I will also be top dressing each pot with clay pebbles to reduce the soil surface from drying out. the plants I grew this way last year did really well.

                        Ahh OK fair enough.

                        What's the size of this latest polytunnel? I bought a 4.5 X 2 X 2 in November.

I've pretty much dug my area ready to it. I reckon one more evening session and it will be ready to erect. Can't wait!

This is the same size as my other a 6m x 3m x 2mHeight, though with the scaffold board, it makes it a brilliant height inside.

I still have another to get up .... Hopefully that will be quicker now I know what I need to do. :snork:

So, I fixed some deck boards around the perimeter of tunnel #2 today to stop airflow underneath.

And decided to put up the frame of Tunnel #3
