Absolutely nothing!!! issing it down and windy. Ordered all the plants so cannot do that. The only thing I can do is type out a sheet of things to do in the coming months. I always tend to be too late when it comes to ordering say ,canna, bulbs etc and they are either sold out or too late to plant.

Well, after two days of busyness in the garden with extra grunt-power in the shape of my lovely hubby (logs moved to form a bug-hotel below the compost area, patio table spring-scrub finished, three large trug-fulls of dandelions removed from the grass around the patio, etc) today was a case of cheering on the much-needed rain, sprinkling of grass-seed on the bald patches (esp. after the aforementioned dandelion removal!), and opening up of the cloches to allow the rain into the young veg plants. Now time for a beer, and the third of the Welsh local rugby finals.

          - Potting on some Verbena bonariensis seedlings that finally sprouted and are now growing quickly (two months later!)
          - Potted on some basil and courgettes - the courgettes are growing faster than anything else!
          - Doddered about the garden watering a few things, squashing some aphids etc.
          - Got confused that one of my Dahlia mini plants is actually forming a flower bud, as is one of my Salvias outside... way too early guys!
          - Trimmed the old leaves off of a Heuchera
          - Gave my experimental Buxus topiary a little trim

It rather depends on which Salvia. These two have been in bloom for a few weeks now.............

Oh right, it's microphylla 'Cerro Potosi'. I guess it has been very mild all winter and spring, and warm the last few weeks so it might just be a little early?

I moved my rudbeckia outside a week ago and it's been fine - if anything, growing much better outside so far. Touch wood!

Not overly early. Mine were in bloom this time last year. I had -8°c this winter so they'll be later this year.

The cucumbers for the greenhouse were planted today. This year I am trying Mathilde, which is a greenhouse variety. Tomorrow I just have to staple the support netting to the uprights, then I can sit back, relax, and watch the plants grow.

Had a nice few hours today. Pricked out 2 varieties of cream/white sunflowers. Planted up a container with a small dahlia, a fuschia 'blacky' and a nasturium to trail over the side.
Dug up some rampant mint, moved a dianthus, planted up a hanging basket and planted out some dahlias, cosmos, sweet peas and Spanish flag. (I laugh in the face of potential frost!) :loll:Planted out another Aldi Rose once I'd moved some primroses out of the way.
Finally, deadheaded some bulbs and hellebores. Happy with how things are going.

So im in the wales garden which is just a river bank really

We planted two gunnera manicatas near the waters edge which is exciting but we had a bit of an audience from the bridge above.

We also started clearing part of the garden where its built up with a bit of a stone wall. Removed tonns of ivy and found lots of small rose plants and a few ferns. It was a stinky job as there is tonns of wild garlic all over the place

We plan to put in lots of big plants like pampas grasses, cardoons and we want to add red hot pokers and irises near the waters edge

Its a massive job but we have started it now and we are going to do a little bit at a time and see what we end up with

Also bonus is i put my old wellies on that i have here and they dont fit anymore because my calf muscles are so much bigger. Well chuffed i have been working hard to building up my leg muscles

Not a lot. Really don,t feel my best today. The young plants are outside from the conservatory enjoying a bit of sun. Finally installing the nest cam in one of the bird boxes and proven. Probable to late for this year but I shall be ready for next.

Tying back a young maple tree (overhanging the path) + a "gift" from next door's garden, i.e. a wild, rambling white rose climber that has made its way over to my garden and perfectly forms an arch parallel with my arbour red roses! When they are both in bloom I will post a photo of them here. [IMG]
