I had the very same thought Scrungee! Decided perhaps using an adapted cucumber wine recipe would suit?

There are thousands of the little blighters in the polytunnel! I've pickled ten jars-full as a substitute for gherkins but it'll have to be industrial-grade chutney from now on....

My tuber was chucked by Mrs C is uber-efficient mode, so not sure - I might do, if only for the fun of trying to stop them climbing out the roof vents of the greenhouse

I started off some cucamelon and it was all going well until the cat decided to use the propagator as a trampoline...

I was given one sowed in a small pot. After weeks of absolutely nothing we now have a tiny tiny tiny green spec poking out of the compost. Now as I didnt sow it and there has been a lot pass through the propagator these last weeks, i can no more confirm or deny whether i am growing cucamelon - i hope i am though!!!

I thought I was then I left the pots out of the greenhouse while I had a tidy up and subjected them to a nasty night of wind, Rain and cold. Looks like I have to go and buy some seeds and try to catch up.

Presumably you do that, before you throw them on the compost heap? :roflol:

Must be where I went wrong.

I just hope all those millions of seeds on my compost heap have been killed off over winter, otherwise I might be needing a lot of Dill and Mint.:)
