All my apple blossom that's only just opening is blowing off the trees, hope it's not going to be yet another apple crop failure.

Glorious yesterday, got sunburnt sitting on St Andrews beach watching all the infastructure going up for the Open golf in July. Today diabolical, lashing, very cold and back to getting supplies for the log burner organised....sigh!

Dreadful weather....it's now very windy. Don't think I'll be hardening any plants off outside. Hope this summer isn't going to be a write off.

Yes and no, if it's warm and damp it's just right for Ergot, Fusarium and many other diseases

Clouds have been broken up by bits of sunshine now but VERY windy. It's whistling through the vents,

The last few days (after the sudden cold snap of a couple of weeks ago) have been overcast, warm, with a gentle breeze, warm nights and some light rain. Perfect spring weather! :spinning:The garden is loving it and so am I. Last night it was blowing a gale but all is quiet this morning and this week looks set to be dry and sunny but not hot (maximum temps of around 20ÂșC).

It's an evil wind here. Blown door off my glass greenhouse, smashed glass everywhere. Washing line pole sheared off in half. Cover blown off plastic greenhouse; it was tied on to the side posts but torn away from ties. Many pots blown over/to other side of garden. And wheelie bins all over the street. The damage is very disheartening - just hope no people or animals are hurt.

So sorry to read this JJ28. I'm in East Sussex ( near the sea ) and the gusts are quite horrid but I've only had a pot roll over - didn't smash but snapped a nice growing branch of a shrubby Salvia,
                        take care outdoors everyone,

It's been pretty much like yesterday here, a mixture of sun and cloud but windier, 12C. It's about time the temperatures started to pick up, particularly overnight, my plants want out of the greenhouse!
