Last autumn I noticed some vine weevil grubs as I was removing some of my Fuchsias out of some containers. I think I managed to remove them all and used fresh compost but I have bought some Provado as a precaution.

What I want to know is........

If I plant out my Fuchsias in a months time do I give the containers a Provado drench now OR do I do it when I put the plants out.

    Hiya :blue thumb:
I don't know the life cycle of Vine Weevil, but I'm thinking that there won't be an attack unless there are plants present? In other words, empty containers should be free of any infestation. Others here will no doubt have a better idea.

Thanks Freddy, I forgot to say the containers aren't empty, they have Narcissi and Muscari in them which I would like to keep there.

Ahh. In that case, might be a good idea to get some in now if you've had problems with them in the past. I can't remember if there's a limit to how many applications can be made? If so, need to bear that in mind.

Just checked. Apparently each application lasts for 4months, maximum 3 applications, so you're good to go:dbgrtmb:

Thanks Freddy, in that case I'll give it a go this weekend.
