Yep - and I will sow some more in a week or so.

There are still I couple of droopy leaves - should I cut them off too?

I would leave alone and just wait to see what happens , I would sow now if you can, with melons they take ages to ripen, I have grown before , will you be planting outside or in a mini greenhouse or cloche ? and what variety are they

Where ever is best. Also growing cuc, courgettes, peppers, cherry toms and chillis - which I know like warmer environments. Cant have them all in the house, but they can go in plastic grow home. Would melon be top of the indoor list?

      Hi

Courgettes and toms if under cover can go outside but use a horticultural fleece over night to keep the warmth in and the cold out , the chilli's and melon keep on the windowsill for a couple more weeks

Thanks Spruce. Will go and bring my chilli in as well.

Will sow other bits and bobs over the weekend. Expecting a delivery of wonderful seeds in the next few days. Red carrots, purple sprouts and white cucumber. Hoping these will interest my nieces into trying stuff. Already sown round carrots and rainbow beetroot. I LOVE THIS GROWING MALARKEY - LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT.

Sad day. RIP droopy melons. The gardener who came to trim a tree and a bush said yesterday that they were over watered. Killed by kindness. Oh dear. Well I have some more which about 3 inches which need reporting and sowed my last three seeds yesterday.

        Wish me luck.
