        Is it to place empty honey jars in those holes and catch the honey from whatever contraption would be dripping it from the centre? (Kind of circulating it in order not to waste any).

            Is it a sort of base for a hive that is shaped optimally to help the bees build the right shaped honeycombs or nesting chambers?

              You are correct @JazzSi :star: of the week

              its upside down in the photo ,

              8 way bee escape goes on top of the brood chamber where the queen lives then the supers where I harvest the honey from goes on top of that , this is what it look like from the top , so as the bees come out the supers they cant find the way back in and I come along take the supers off and hopefully no bees in which makes the collection so much easier.
