    Prostanthera cuneata is very different it has tiny evergreen leaves .
    Whilst the flowers are almost white.

    It is much hardier and will survive outside in many areas of UK.

    P.rotundifolia will die at first cold snap.

        I am thrilled to find all the new plants in my garden. A mauve passion flower is the latest one discovered. The last resident must have know my favourite colour is mauve

          hi lowly worm, I too am in Devon, we are very lucky down here to be able to grow plants and shrubs which are less likely to survive further up country. The Prostranthera is a good example, though it still has to survive down to -6 that we had last winter. The closer to the coast the better, too it can be 4 deg c milder than slightly inland and higher ground.

              That looks like a lovely shrub and sounds like a fantastic place to garden. I await more pictures of your new plants.

                I am afraid I have now reached an age when I can do very little gardening so you can imagine how much I appreciate finding these lovely shrubs in my new garden.
