Well unless something cataclysmic happens here I can't see a frost here either, its nearly 11pm and it's still 12 degrees, that'll do for me :snork:

7C here at 11:20pm and dropping slowly, it's very clear so I think we will get a slight ground frost.

Thanks @Spruce, I saw Derek on the weather too, brought my beans into the greenhouse, everything else is hardened off, but walking the dog at 7am wondered if we had had a frost.

It went down to 2C overnight. There was no sign of a frost at 6 when I got up though. I accidentally left outside a spare tomato plant and it was looking very poorly so I'm glad I covered up my spuds etc.

                It's a lovely morning now :)

No frost here...temp dropped to 8.9C. A benefit of living near the coast I think.

Went down to minus 1.2 deg C in the open at my outskirts of village rural plot early this morning.

It went down to 6.2 deg C in my 3 x 8m tunnel at ground level and 4.6 deg C at staging level in one of my 4.5 x 2m tunnels that had a paraffin heater in it. It only went down to 5.6 deg C in my garden.

The temps were at their lowest from 5:00 to 5:30, so anybody who looked at their garden thermometers after 6:00 would have seen readings a few degrees higher.

Looks like you got the worst of it Scrungee.

Fingers crossed that was the last frost.

Last night's forecast for nearest town was originally 6° C, but at 4:30 this morning I noticed it had been revised to 5° C, and I got minus 1.2° C at my plot.

Tonight's forecast is 5° C early tomorrow morning, so there's going to be another very chilly morning here, especially if they revise it down again.

Might also be some cold nights next week. Tonight I'm moving my heater to the larger tunnel and checking how much that raises the temps in there.
