    Here are my sunflowers

Obviously its a bit too early to put them out but hopefully they will go out soon.

Should i pot them on again or just leave it? Some have roots growing out the bottom of the pots.

What should i do for the best?

I planted mine yesterday, so you can blame me for the cold weather.

I would plant them out as soon as possible.
If you don't they will get stunted and not grow to near their potential size.

but its a bit cold sirius thats the problem

hence why i was thinking of potting them on

ah i dunno im confused now i saw harrys post a thought safe i will leave them and now im confused

plus i had to move them in from the greenhouse because 4 of them were eaten by a snail or a slug so worried that if i plant them out before they are a bit bigger they will just be destroyed

Mine have been potted on and put outside. They've been out for 3-4 weeks and are doing fine from what I can see. They're maybe 10-12 inches tall now

You can plant sunflower seeds outside from March onwards so the cold really shouldn't be an issue for them.

The only thing I know about sunflowers other than that is that they are not fond of root disturbance ... so, be gentle with them and give them plenty of water as they grow (they can be thirsty blighters).

The ground is relatively warm now.
They will do so much better planted out.

My packets says you cant sow them outside until end of may when all risk of frost has passed lol

So confused. Going to start hardening them off and they are going to have to go out next week anyway i have realised so they are off to live in the cold frame for a bit

I've put a few in the garden, they were so tall due to me starting them off too early! :doh:I'm going to put somemore seeds in the cell trays this weekend, hopefully by the time they are up I will be able to
Put them out! (Note to self.....wait before sowing sunflowers next year!) :heehee:
