      Rhododendron Brasilia and Hydrangea ...

The Rhodo came all the way from Germany and has been in transit for a week, so I'm surprised it's still blooming.

Also bought a squirrel feeder for the princely sum of £1.99 from Home Bargains.

Bought these lovelies over the weekend from a plant fair here on the Island :)

        2015-05-03 17.03.06.jpg

Big pot of Ginger Mint and a Purple Salvia, small pot of Lemon Balm & Apple Mint, Lavender 'Hidcote' and two Rosemary's 'Roman Beauty' a small dwarf plant which looks perfect for a pot and also one labeled as "Ginger Rosemary' which I suspect might be 'Green Ginger'? which smells devine! and then also a Leycesteria formosa which caught my fancy think I paid around £12 in total for the lot, Bargain!

and then I also bought a load of clumps of Primrose for the front garden for £4

I got 2 dahlias, another hardy geranium (double lilac) and a hot chilli plant from the horticultural society meeting.
The dahlia is called kiwi Gloria. I'm looking forward to seeing it bloom.

Sweet-peas, £1.50 from Tesco (thought this little lot looked pretty healthy)

Got some Campanula and blue grass from Knebworth House (they had a garden show last bank holiday weekend). £3 each. I've potted them together with some of my delphiniums that haven't really got going yet, for a blue display.

Also from Knebworth, a lovely gentiana (but it seems reluctant to open in the semi dull northern weather) £3:

Plus a couple of alpines for £3. I'll probably find a home for these together with the above.

Well I didn't think I liked Hostas or Heuchera, but now I've bought both for my shady borders.

Yesterday I purchased the following Heuchera:

                            Apricot
                            Autumn Glow
                            Cherry Cola

Went a bit nuts in Sainsburys yesterday.... I didn't even go for plants.... honest.

                                2015-05-15 20.08.33.jpg
1 x Acer (goodness knows what variety, but it is pretty)
                                3 x blackcurrant
                                2 x green gooseberry

I have no idea where to plant them, or indeed how to care for them, but I will find out.

Will post back later, I have to get some work done now. Hope everyone is enjoying Shiney's open day
