Is that what you go down to then ? Our lowest this winter was -1 and that only happened twice, weeks apart.

-12°c was 2012/13, its first winter in the ground. This year we had a night at -8°c, -4 or 5°c in the greenhouse.

No swap needed @Sheal, it is the least I can do given your friendship and guidance with my health problems :)

I got 6 hardy fuschias as plugs just over 2 weeks ago. Repotted them and they have spent one week in the conservatory and one week in the greenhouse. Do you think it would be ok to repot them into large planters and put outside now or should I wait awhile?

Hi Lost in France, don't know which part of France you're in but just as a guide I'm in a mild part of the UK ( only two nights below zero all winter, and nights now are roughly between 4 and 10 deg.), and I'm just starting to harden mine off.

I would be slightly worried that they have only been in their pots for two weeks and haven't had time to build up a good enough root system yet to be transplanted yet again so soon.

I think you could, if the temperature's favourable stand them outside in the pots they're in now but I wouldn't put them into larger planters for another 2 wks or so.

Thanks @Anthony Rogers. I'm in northern France and our temperatures are similar to south east England, often a few degrees warmer. I'll take your advice and start hardening them off towards the end of the week. The forecast is good from then onwards.

Hi Liliana, Texas Longhorn is available from a lot of mail order Fuchsia companies, the cheapest I've seen is at £2.10 inc p+p.

Have you grown it before ? It's one I used to have and although the flowers are large 8/9" across it's very temperamental and you only get a few flowers.

I forgot to add that the flowers themselves ( the double white corolla) are not particularly large it is the length of the (red) sepals that give it the impression of being large.

@Anthony Rogers , before and after pictures on my Sarahs delta plugs . Following your pinching advice.
First photo is the lanky plugs I received . Second photo is exactly 4 weeks later , after pinching the node just above the bent stem. I now have 5 healthy and bushy Sarahs Delta ,not bad for £2.49 ( special offer from Brookside Nursery ):blue thumb:
