At the risk of sounding daft, I've heard of people hanging baskets in their greenhouse for tumbling tomato plants. Where would you hang them from? I have no obvious hooks, bars etc in my Halls 8x6 greenhouse.

    Thanks.

A couple of weeks ago we put fixings up in the greenhouse to bring on some hanging baskets. We purchased all the bits on line from Two Wests and Elliott. £3.30 for a pack of 10 x fixing supports and £1.85 for a pack of 5 'S' hooks. A cropped head bolt simply slots into the glazing bar in an aluminium greenhouse and is 'twisted' to lock into place. Hang your hook into the hole in the fixing and it's ready to hang your basket on.

      Thanks for replying.

Found the two bits you're referring too. Are they secure? It doesn't seem like it would be strong enough to hold baskets? :)

They are really secure and take the weight of a compost filled basket with 12 plants no problem. Will upload a pic tomorrow night for you to see.

You can get plastic hooks that locate in the same way. These are to be avoided!

As you can see, the fixing support and hook can hold a lot of weight.

That looks awesome! Wonder if I can grow tumbling toms between rows of cordon toms... :)
