      Good morning everyone,

      Feeling very cold and fragile this morning, coughing well. Steve's birthday today he is 52, makes me feel so old to have a son that age. True I was on 18 when I had him but still is a long time ago.

      I hope all goes well Shiney with your preparations, I do not think I shall be making it this year I am afraid. But I do wish you success.

        Morning Zigs, have a good journey. :blue thumb:

        I've just checked road conditions (on Traffic England - Highways Agency). There's congestion on the M25 due to an overturned lorry on the M4 but it should be completely clear by the time you get there. They say they'll clear it by 8 a.m. but it normally takes a couple more hours than they say. The rest is clear at the moment :dbgrtmb:

        Are you meeting up with the others this evening?

        Stupid pheasants!!! :mad: They walked right past the moved bird feeder without seeing it! :doh: Now they're on the lawn where the feeder usually is and are digging the lawn up :thud:

          Good afternoon all,

          Late on parade today.When I got up for work this morning all I could muster was a phone call to work to say I wouldn't be in.It started last night and continued until 3am....Norovirus....Over night 10 residents and 4 staff had come down with it.I never take to my bed but I couldn't do anything else but this morning.No going into work for 48 hrs which normally I'd have been elated over but not right now....

          So I did get Shiney weekend off but for all the wrong reasons...

          Shiney ...Have a great weekend I'm certain of a great success as always,may the weather be with you all:grphg:

              Oh Loli, so sorry you are so ill, must admit I feel pretty bad myself. I do hope everyone else is all set for a lovely day tomorrow. I have a Tesco delivery at 11am tomorrow or thereafter but I doubt I would feel up to an hour+ journey up to shineys as I feel now. So I will just wish you all a wonderful time tomorrow. There's another time next year!

                I wish all you poorly people lots better :grphg:

                Well, after getting up at 3 a.m. yesterday and out in the garden by 3.30 a.m. I worked almost non-stop until 7 p.m. Then went off to the bridge club - no time for supper. Jenny and "M" came at lunchtime to help make all the sandwiches for tomorrow. After bridge I had to go and get the tea urn, pots jugs etc. and got home at 11.30. When I got home Mrs Shiney was still working in the garden with the outside lights on. We both worked until 1 a.m. and then cuppa, an omelette followed by a bath and shower and we're ready to put our feet up :phew:

                    Woken by the stoggies going off outside the hotel, nice surprise from Our Mandy, Jenny and M last night, they came and found me :)
