Well, I had a great time! Shiney and Hannah were the perfect hosts, and their stunning garden really is a credit to them. It was a pleasure to meet up with those members who attended. Aunt Sally was a bit nervous about meeting up with 'strangers', but you folks put her at ease, and she commented that she too really enjoyed the day. The Curry afterwards went down well (thanks for the guidance Shiney:thumbsup:) and the atmosphere/chat was very enjoyable. After getting to our overnight accommodation (thanks again Shiney:)), I rounded off the day with a glass (or two;)) of Chardonnay. The perfect end to a perfect day.
Things went downhill this morning on the way home, as the sat-nav sent us round the north of London, which meant another hour added to our journey
Last word should go to Shiney and Hannah for their fundraising efforts, well done folks :dbgrtmb:

Great to meet up with so many GC friends old and new, thoroughly enjoyed looking round Shiney's wonderful garden too.

I can only echo what many others have already said. Thank you so much Mr and Mrs Shiney for your warm welcome and hospitality. :dbgrtmb: You clearly both put a huge amount of work and preparation into the event, I'm sure it is hugely appreciated all at Grove Cottage, as it is by all those of us on GC who were able to attend.

Had lots of laughs too, especially when in the company of certain rather smutty minded ladies (who shall remain nameless); for a while there it was more like 'Carry on Gardening' than anything else. :heehee:

I enjoyed the ladies with the castanets :)
I was wondering if they ever dream they are dancing. If so, I wouldn't want to be one of the husbands. Ouch :snork:. What a way to be woken up :yikes: :snork:

We had the same problem @Zigs . We headed towards London and then M25/M1 to go North, which seemed pretty weird ! But to be fair, I don't think there was much in it timewise.

I'm still dreaming inside the Shineyland bubble and my head is full of laughter, GC hugs, garden colour and the visions of 3 tall stacks of egg mayo, cheese and salmon mayo sarnies.
A truly magic day amongst GC friends - lovely to be with you all.
Thank you Mike and Hannah for making my time in your lovely company and your garden so very special. And for allowing me some precious time with Sarafi,
