What's This Perennial?

    This plant is in my ma in laws garden . Its a perennial with lovely green leaves and is about to flower. Flowers are small bell like white hanging ones.
    Will it transplant OK if I pinch a few ?

    Good morning @HarryS I have taken the liberty of blowing the photo up a little hope I haven't caused any offence my friend,so that it might help one our more knowledgeable friends ID it for you as I am not very good with this ID lark;)

    Alright is it Lily of the Valley,if not I have been wrong 102 Times on this thread:heehee:

      It's Solomons seal, Harry. Polygonatum. It grows by rhizomes so you can transplant some after it has died down in the autumn, it can be slow to adapt though . A woodland plant so great for shade and there are some that provide good scent.

        Sorry WOL looks like you have made 102 :biggrin: It is from the LOTV family though.
        @scillonian , thanks :blue thumb: Thats the one , Solomons Seal . Just Googled it , it has quite a history as a healing plant. M-I-L has loads of them , so I will try and transplant a few tomorrow. Or I could buy 1 from Crocus at £9.99 each :yikes:

              But it does look very 'lily of the valleyish' and I would have said the same as Woo had I not been in Shiney's garden yesterday and been told what it was :heehee:
