Isn't the Eurovision Song Contest brilliant !!

yep the subject matter is @Val..

maybe thats why i liked it because its a brave choice for what is normally a very cheesy contest

I wish the Uk didn't see it as a joke and embarrassment and entered an established singer or group with an amazing song

all our songs are so naff or just lacking. I had high hopes for Blue a few years a go until i heard the song which was a whole lot of blah!

other countries enter their big stars with songs that are big hits already like what Sweden did in 2012 with this one



I feel like we cant keep moaning that countries wont vote for us because of political reasons until we enter a bloody good song.

 

I take it we didn't win then?

 

They hyped up the UK song last week saying it could be our turn to win it...5 points says we had more of a chance coming last....

I think we need a referendum to see if we really want to be part of this Eurovision thing next year.
Its very like most things that involve "us" and "them"getting together, they dont want us to leave because we put some of the money in.

But at the same time they like to run the clique.

 

I tend to watch it most years, but only when all the songs are over. I quite like Graham Nortons cynicism during the scoring

 

I loved the British entry! In fact I loved all the songs and performances. People who slag off Eurovision are like rugby fans who condemn football ... they don't seem to realize that we don't care what they say!

The upshot is nobody likes us ,even Ireland gave us nil points.:confused:
It had to be our song that was interrupted didn’t it?
It’s a very spectacular event ,glitz and glamour at its best,the more controversial the better,must cost many millions.
Do you really believe the best song won?

 

I have heard that after Brexit we won't be able to enter it or view it , we can live in hope
