    Aloha everyone,

@LyndaG I'm sorry you had your little big fall down the escalator and I'm pleased that it was only your pride that was injured. :grphg:.

I can't impersonate your mother but 'Running down the stairs is dangerous!' :nonofinger: When I was at school (yes, they did have them in those days :heehee:) it was painful to run down the stairs as we got the cane for it!

Just another word of warning, if I may, research has shown that there is a fairly high chance of injury if you wear headphones in the street - especially if the music is cranked up high. Apparently it's much more distracting than you would imagine and gives a high loss of awareness of what's going on around you. This ranges from traffic accidents (from cars and cyclists) to bag or phone snatching (quite common on busy streets and shopping centres).

@Zigs a good photo. :blue thumb: We're you acting as lock keeper? :heehee:

@wiseowl the forecast, here, for today is quite good but quite a bit of rain for tomorrow. I'll see whether I can send the Shineyland shield across the river. Good luck for your weekend

@Beckie Don't overdo things in the garden. :grphg:

There was a beautiful sunrise at 4.30 this morning. Whilst I was sitting in the lounge, reading and having a cuppa, the wall turned pink with the glow. :)

We should be taking down the big marquee this morning and getting it back into storage. Yesterday I had a delivery of another 50 x 7ft canes (only £16.95) so I can now put in more supports in the veg plot. We're going to plant more French beans and I'll make a framework for the tomatoes. The other day I made three small tepees (technically, a wigwam is dome shaped and a tepee is conical :old: :snork:) in the new flower bed for Mrs Shiney to plant a variety of annual climbers (I haven't the faintest what they are! :noidea:).

Keep well and have a great day

    Aloha!

Good morning folks, just come back from walking Amber. My shoulder is killing me this morning must take some ibuprofen. That's done now hopefully it will ease off. Managed to get my hair all trimmed off yesterday at the hairdressers, bet it is shorter than yours now Shiney! I should never have listened to Steve and had it cut and permed in the first place, complete failure. Still at least it is tidy now.

I hope everyone is ok, what with ones falling for men on the escalator I suppose that is one way of getting a man.........too much effort for me. Its a beautiful morning out there. I have ordered some heavily scented Stock seeds so I am hoping they may come today. I have some night scented stock plants on order and some hardy fuchsias too.
Have a good day everyone, take care of those backs and hips etc. God bless.:wub2:

                Good Morning my forum chums,

                I hope everyone is ok.

Lovely sunshine here. I've just popped out to visit my friends dad, he's a bit sad at the moment poor old sausage. I've tried my best to cheer him up & made him chuckle a few times. Now off to do a bit of work but hope I won't be too long as I'm bursting to get into the garden, I have so many plans in my head of things I want to do!
My hip is feeling much better this morning thank goodness, so far I've kept off the paracetamol!
Hope you all have a really nice day.
                :)

Hi Becky, thank you - I have missed chatting with you - so sorry to hear about your hip - how is it now? Not a lot going on at Aldi just now. This week was fruit trees and Acers - I passed there this evening and it doesn't look like any have been sold. Mind, the Acres were eleven quid - a bit steep I think! Hope all is well with you x

Hi, thanks for your good wishes, no real harm done, but shook me up badly as I'm sure it did the other folks concerned, lol. How are you and how is Dad?

Hi Lynda, I've missed you too. My hip is a lot better thanks, I wish I knew how I'd done it , thanks for asking. I've not been to Aldi for a couple of weeks, I really wanted a honeysuckle the other week but I've not got anywhere to put one at the moment, I bought two bay trees 3 weeks ago & I'm really pleased with those :).
I hope Phil is ok & your work load has reduced?

Hi Shiney, thank you x Since the first Sony Walkman came onto the market, I have had headphones on. Sadly, I now have a 50% hearing loss and Tinnitus which they have attribut d to the loud music I have listened too for many years. I do recognise the dangers though and I thank you for taking the time to advise. Because of my MH problems, I find that it puts a "wall" between me and the rest of humanity and it helps me a lot. But I promise I'm careful when I'm out! I hope you and Mrs S are well x x
