Getting everything in the ground and pots now. Front window boxes done, hoping to get most of the 20 or so Dahlias in the ground today too, although some are still too small for that.

Then I just need to decide where everything else is going!

It's drizzling a lot all day but it's nice and warm, so I bet the plants appreciate it.

I haven't got room for all my dahlias until the spring bulbs have died back. They are outside in pots on a bench. Some I might wait for them to flower before I place them, just not got as much space right now.
Time to hoik out japanese anemones I think. Plus once the alliums are done their pots are only sunk into the soil so that will create more space. :fingers crossed:

Bloomin' cold out there today so only did a bit of staking and stringing the area where I might put the new arbour (if I get one) and thinking about constructing the base. All a bit iffy at the mo.

Was wondering if @Naylors Ark was going to post soon (haven't seem to have seen her around for a while) as I've love to see the progress on the rock garden.

We did my friend's garden, by force! Went and bought everything needed (including a lovely acer dissectum garnet) from B & Q then turned up and took over.
It was previously a mass of weeds and rotting weed supressing membrane. Here's some pics.

Needs a bit more bark to finish it off and we are going to go over the lawn again a few times before feeding it, but really happy with how it's turned out.

Turfed some of the stageing out of the green house to get the rest of the toms in the soil. Had to hoik out a few volunteer spinage plants, but had them in a curry :)

Just waiting for the wind to drop now

It's probably the Spinach in the Curry that caused the wind, Ziggy:dunno::hate-shocked::heehee:

Not masses done, just enjoying the last of the spring flowers. Thinking about my next project, going to dig out and replant my front garden. It's in mostly shade and has a lot of spring plants, looking a bit scruffy now.

Dead headed violas and dianthus. Tied in clematis and climbing roses.

Finally got started on weeding the front garden and got half way down the one side with the roses in. Also cut back a few of the rose branches that were going too far over next doors or onto the drive.

Typical that some of the groundcover roses are spreading in the wrong direction.
