    Is it possiable to find out what type of dahlia I have growing just by its leaves recently planted my first one not knowing what type it is more importantly how tall will it get

    I'm not sure if anyone can tell you what type of Dahlia it is by the leaves, Adam, but Dahlias can grow in height between 16 to 36 inches.:coffee::snork:

      Oh well just have to wait and see I bought it from QDs for a pound so I don't know if they sell big dahlias .

          If I remember rightly I bought it because it had a big blue round flower head like the first picture will this be a big one then do you know the main stem is as big as a cigar already.

          The second one does they never tell you what the size is.

            Agreed, SS, but I somehow suspect that Adam's £1 packet of Dahlias won't include the Imperialis variety.:heehee:

              Wow, is it possiable to buy them ten metre ones I would like to stick them in the front garden just to see my neighbours reactions.

              Wowsie Armandii,
              I haven't grown Dahlias for a few years now but is it really possible to get them as blue as numbers 1,2,8,9.
              I thought that they were like Fuchsias in that you couldn't get a true blue.
              If they're real I'd love their names please :)

              Depends on what you call a true blue, Anthony:scratch:. So there's Aurwens Violet, Purple Passion but the ones I showed Adam were from package labels and they are notoriously out of colour kilter.:dunno::snork:
