Ideal "in between" plants?

    another good idea @Oldtyke, thank you :)

    I bought these ones on Saturday completely on impulse and the middle one had no label on so I didn't know what it was, then someone on here told me it was a cleome something (can't spell the last word lol). It's very pretty and it was only £3.99 so I thought it was a bargain

    How about some Campanula (bellflowers for groundcover), you can get some excellent ones in the alpine sections at garden centres.

    Pachysandra is a great ground cover evergreen plant. You really need to get some edging bricks placed along the front to stop the soil and goodness dusting off. From the look of the soil it looks like it would greatly benefit from some organic matter to bulk it up some :)

      thank you both for your suggestions. Yes @Banana Man I have some edging but hadn't put it back when I took the photo. I took it out temporarily while I worked that little patch and I'm afraid I made a bit of a mess!

      I have cineraria by the hundred if you need any..... Didn't for a minute think that germination rate would be so near 100% :snork:
