For the past five years, we have had regular letters from Scottish Water, offering insurance for leaks, as WE are now responsible for the repair of leaks from the main road and the house stop cock (WE, as in ALL consumers) and they are expensive

Yeah, I have insurance also Jack.
But SE Water are responsible for the leaks my side of the meter for a year after putting me on a water meter.
But only because I didn't ask to be put on a meter.

 

Can you turn it into a tourist attraction. We could come and watch and give free advice take photos have tea and sandwiches stay overnight all sorts of things.

 

Latest day of doom is set for Monday at 8am.
Got a feeling it will be raining.

Vision of a couple of boneheads looking for a leak in a puddle

 

It is still forecast (and gale force winds). So ... are they getting on with it?

 

Started around 8.45, tea break at 9.15.
Its now 11.05, digging hole no 3, no leak found as yet.

 

Guessing they are at lunch now?

 

YES,.............

 

4.30 and we are now digging hole four.
Dont look like it will be finished today.

Also waiting for the police to arrive, but that's another story.

 

Oh flipping heck @pete, I was hoping this would be all finished today!
