And who first though that putting dried, shredded plant leaf into a roll of paper then setting it ablaze enough for it to smoulder, and then suck on one end to draw the smoke into their body was a good idea?

 

The same person who thought of using some tartan material as a skirt with a safety pin in it and said it was OK for men to wear

Well its a long story ,they had a bush fire on the tea plantation many years ago and tried to put it out with water,then one of the workers fell over head first in to the hot water and red hot tea leaves and got some in his mouth of course he swallowed it and thought this tastes really great so he made some when things had calmed down and when he sat down outside he put the cup on the ground next to him,then a milkmaid walked past with a bucket of milk and spilt some in to his cup, some sugar cane remnants was blown by the wind in to the cup he picked it up and tasted just how wonderful it was,he called it Cha (Cantonese)but in Formosa it translated in to TE and then the English called it Tea
