Sounds gross but try rubbing his butt to make him go. Gross but cheaper than another vet bill? Thats what cats do to newborn kittens isnt it ? No, ok I`ll get my coat

Almost correct @WeeTam ... but actually, the mother cat licks the anus to stimulate "action"

Over to you Joolz ;) :heehee:

(Alternatively: dip some cotton wool balls in some warm water and away you go :) )

        @"M" Errrrrrrrrrr.... *barfs*:yikes::mute::eeew:

        Right, @Beckie76
I've a bone to pick with you.... Are you psychic? There were are, tootling along on our way, when out comes the meow that I know means, "Mom, I gotta go" "Moooooooooom, I've really, REALLY got to go! LIKE NOW" So he did, whilst we were in the blooming car..

*mutters* You can go off folk you know:heehee:

So when we got to the vets they whisked him away to clean him up, and save him the indignation of having to go through with the errrr, well you know...

Simmy, is now sleeping happily, with an empty tumtum whilst my washer is having to deal with the aftermath... Sorry, were you having your tea?:heehee:

It did! Thankfully, he litterally did it when I pulled up on the car park, so it didn't permiate the air of the car for too long.. Had the windows down slightly on the way home though... Phewy!

My Henri is like that @ARMANDII , it can wake you from the deepest slumber when he strikes.. :mute::hate-shocked::eeew: thud.gif

@Lolimac Thanks chick, pretty sure Simmy feels better for it, but the little darling is giving me the right run around. He's been chewing the dressing on his frame, so I've been cutting up hubs socks and turning them into little covers for his leg. Lets see him chew through that!:fingers crossed:

He sounds as though he's on the road to recovery good and proper now - starting to misbehave !!
so pleased that "episode's" been resolved though,

                      Thanks @Jenny namaste xx

Simmy's having a sad day today. Think the poor love is finding his frame hard to deal with at times. Must admit, I've shed a few tears myself this morning, I hate seeing him gloomy. I still can't believe how he got home and into the house, esp considering his injuries and that one of his front legs was through his collar; really only leaving him one good working leg to use. How on earth he got through the cat flap, and up the steps into the lounge I'll never know. It must have hurt him such a lot. :frown:

My poor, brave boy. Sorry, I'm feeling so sorry for him today. Think I might be in a delayed reaction myself, even though that sounds totally ridiculous when you say/post it out loud.

                      Ohh pull yourself together woman!

Thank you all, so much for the loving and kind words you've shared for little Simmy. It means such a lot to me. xxxxxx

:phew: Well that's a relief ... at least now we know you're not a sociopath ;) :grphg:

You are bound to be feeling the effects of such a traumatic experience, Joolz. Poor Simmy couldn't walk, couldn't talk to tell you what had happened, what was wrong and how he was feeling. Then there's the emergency trip to the vets, the operation, the recuperation (the bill!!!!) - all shocks to the system (physically, emotionally, mentally, financially) and needing time for you to deal with.

Be gentle with yourself, give yourself time to absorb all that has happened and go with the flow of your emotions so they get the respect they deserve. Once you have done all of that, then you can dust yourself off and begin to feel more yourself.

I don't believe there is a pet owner amongst us who hasn't been moved to tears by one or other of our furbabies at some point or other or for one reason or another. So no, it does not sound in the least "ridiculous" ... more ... 'absolutely normal' to me ;)
