                Looking gorgeous, Jenny

Very well packaged, indeed! And what a stunner
How lovely they included all that information on planting, roots and pruning (not to mention the brochure full of temptation :heehee: ). It's great they have done that for buyers who are new to roses. They sound like a good company to use.

Oh I do like that :) Really like that!

Good evening @LyndaG its a beautiful Rose it replaced the original "Blue Moon"

                  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

But please check on the colour it is not blue it is more of a lilac blend/you cannot get a blue Rose;)
                  --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

                  Blue Moon
Hybrid Tea Rose. 1964. 4ft This is deservedly the most commercially successful of the 'blue' roses being very close to the blue side of lavender. The flowers are large and full petalled with high centres and good symmetry of form, and they last well, finally opening cupped to show the stamens. Usually there is only one flower on the long stems, which makes them excellent for cutting. They are sweetly fragrant, and are produced through summer and autumn. Needs a little loving care to get the best results, but is well worth the effort. Highly Scented. Also known as "Blue Monday" "Sissy" "Tansi"
                  ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is my twice in a blue moon

                  Twice in a Blue Moon
TWICE IN A BLUE MOON (Tan96138) Hybrid Tea Rose. 2003. 3ft-4ft A newer version of the ever popular" Blue Moon". Very similar in appearance but stronger, easier to grow and more disease resistant. The colour is the same, but the whole bush looks stronger and healthier. Undoubtedly our best selling 'Blue Rose' Like the old one the perfume is superb. Bred by Tantau in Germany who have bred many hundreds of very beautiful roses over the years. Was just joking @wiseowl. Glasgow has lots of hidden gems and beautiful parks. It's just some of the areas around them aren't so 'fragrant'

Good morning @lost_in_france I did smile my friend and you gave me pause for thought,I take many photos of where I live as you know, and just realised that they are all the best locations, why don't I take some places that are, lets say a little bit less desirable we could have a thread called (The seedier side of life;))

Romsey garden of roses @wiseowl......you were absolutely right , the choice is mine :dbgrtmb:

I've had a full day out, Hellier Gardens and then the rose garden..... Oh my! so many roses, all the familiar names that I have read about, the perfume and colours all amazing.... No Sheila's Perfume sold out  next delivery November! Project 3 :roflol:

So I had a good wonder around and came home with 3.... :hapfeet:

For colour a half standard Brush Strokes as the colours are so vibrant

                          image.jpg
and then Special Anniversary rated 5/5 (strange choice as our anniversary is on Wednesday) the fragrance is heavenly, I've put it, potted, in place and the aroma fills the air

                          image.jpg

And lastly The Enchantress which was named at the New Forrest show In 2011, for fragrance it's rated again 5/5.

                          image.jpg

I could have purchased them all, what a wonderful place and it certainly gave me visulisation :heehee:

When I first started looking at this thread, I was definitely not a rose fan. I must admit, that's starting to change now. Maybe there could be space (when my garden's converted from wilderness) for a rose or two.
