Microsoft are really starting to irritate me with their updates that, when finished and the computer is restarted, leave a problem somewhere in the system.:wallbanging::gaah: They've made 3 updates in recent weeks and the first one, when I started the computer the following day, had disabled my User Account so that I couldn't get into the system. Luckily, I had two User Accounts and was able to do a system restore from the second one. but if I hadn't things would have been awkward. Then a few days ago they updated again. After that update and restarting the computer my Router was disabled:wallbanging::gaah: Attempts to get it back on line only ended up with me getting a window in the screen saying that there was another web address using my e-mail. In the end I did another system restore and that seems to have cured that problem. But just an hour ago there was yet another update........leaving me wondering what problem is it going to leave this time:scratch::coffee::doh:

I don't understand why the updates are upsetting your computer's system Armandii. Could they be triggering something else within the system to create the issues?

On another note, have you noticed how many updates we get now coming in - in one batch, I've had as many as 16 together and they take an age to load!

To be honest, Sheal, it has happened many times over the years with the different computers and Window systems I have used.:dunno: I think when they're writing software updates there's a tendency to ignore any possible chances of corrupting a register or program. I'm using Windows 7 at the moment and it's a great, stable, reliable system but Microsoft's reputation ain't the greatest when it comes to writing software updates

I usually have some problem after updates.
Luckily, up till now not on the scale of Armadii.

Mine updated when I shut down a few nights ago, it then took ages to start up the next day, when it did it appeard to say there was no wifi, although I had four bars showing.
I then had to reboot the router, restart and eventually got it going after giving it ten minutes to warm up the valves.

                Windows updates are a nightmare.

I'm about to jinx mine and say I don't get these problems and I'm on Windows 7 too. There are so many other problems going on my machine and I probably wouldn't notice anyway. My laptop's getting old and it needs cranking up when I first turn it on, it takes a good 15 minutes to get to the point where it's usable and if it does it's scheduled scan I can forget it for nearly an hour!

So I went out for my birthday meal last night and had a lovely time because the restaurant was small and quiet and the music was played very low so was brilliant for me.

Got a black cab back from birmingham and all was fine until we enter solihull and the taxi drive decided to start speeding over speed bumps, like flying over them. He did this over a couple of bumps and each time we all lifted out our seats slightly because he was going that fast. The bump from when the taxi landed after the speed bumps were horrible and painful.

Was in quite a bit of pain after last night from it but my body is completely broken today, i can barely move, my tonsils are all swollen and im dizzy lying down.

I would have been sicker today after going out to eat somewhere but i wouldnt of been like this if that taxi driver hadnt driven the way he did. Im so unbelievably angry.

                          Thank you M

Unfortunately it was a black cab and none of us took any info well because they were all fairly drunk lol his driving was shocking

Finally managed to get uo and dressed at 2 pm but my back muscles are producing so much acid and just constantly feel on fire. Grrrrrrrrr
