Good morning @LyndaG it wasn't a criticism of your excellent photo my friend in fact its a first class image, which I really enjoyed, the Rose world have been trying for many years to breed a true blue Rose, much like they are for a black tulip, there is a great financial reward for the first to breed a blue Rose, and one day I think they will, enjoy your day my friend:smile:

Good Morning @wiseowl, could you help me please? :)

I'm putting my collection of roses into the ground today, I'm not sure if I should prune 'Absolutely Fabulous' she is looking rather leggy as you mentioned in an earlier post and was wondering if I did some pruning now would it have a better chance of recovering and a chance for better growth? :ThankYou:

That's great thank you, sorry for my ignorance, should the cut be straight or angled?

Hi @Apple Blossom make all cuts above a leaf bud that points towards the outside of the plant.
Make all cuts clean. Try not to make any ragged cuts, as this will allow insects and disease into the plant and open it up to infection.always prune to a healthy bud. Make sure your cut is at a 45 degree angle going away from the bud.
Always cut just above the bud. You don't want to cut it too close or too far away. If you cut it too closely, the bud is damaged, if you cut too far away, you can have die back and possible disease
Cut Surface Should be White Not Brown If it is brown, cut back further until the plant tissue is white and healthy.
