@Lolimac, we were quite lucky with the weather there was a few spits of rain but not enough to spoil our weekend, the temperature was perfect for walking/sightseeing :)

        Morning all

Beautiful here, very sunny and quite warm already

Glad you had a good time in Edinburgh, Beckie, it's a great city

I stood on a bee yesterday with bare feet and ouchy it hurts. Probably hurt the poor bee even more though, RIP little bee

Hope every one who's not too well starts to feel better soon

        Have a great day all

          Good Morning everyone,

Ouch Eve bet that is sore. Poor little Bee too!
At least the sun is up this morning, a bit more like June. I couldn't believe it when I realized there is only a few days to the longest day then we start going backwards. :ouch1:
Have a good day all and enjoy yourselves, God Bless.:wub2:

            Aloha everyone,

I hope all of you that are not too well are getting better in this nice weather. :grphg:

Moyra, I think that the mugginess of yesterday probably got to both of you. When I got back from bridge yesterday at 6 p.m. it was still over 80F :hate-shocked:

            Eve, ouchhhh! :)

I didn't get much done in the garden . I, belatedly, put some canes in the greenhouse for the tomatoes and tied them in. Then I dug another area of the veggie plot, very hard and dry, for some more French beans Mrs Shiney found in one of the blowaways. I put the sprinkler on that area and to water one side of the veggie plot. So the runners, toms and courgettes that side will be feeling quite happy today. I'll move it to the other side this morning. Mrs Shiney is going to start off some more courgettes to replace the ones that were eaten by slugs.

Eight lilac trees need cutting back and one needs removing completely - it is no more, gone to its maker, an ex-lilac!

Keep well and have a great day

            Aloha!

                  Morning all:spinning:

An overcast and slightly breezy morning.

Did not finish in the garden/garage until 10 p.m. last night.:hate-shocked:

Trouble was I started a job, wanted to finish it, accidently dug up some seedlings,
did not want them to die, so had to pot them up, and the time just got away with me.:dunno:
My OH thought I had taken root in the garage, he said he would take in my pillow
as I might like to sleep there as well:hapydancsmil: It feels like that sometimes:loll:

OH had a small benign cancer off his chest yesterday, I sat in whilst he had it done, all he kept saying was 'have you finished yet'? He really grimaced when they gave him
the local jab, he had to have 2 lots, he hates needles.:yikes: Still all done now, just going to
                  see what the biopsy says.

Hope everyone has a good day.:dbgrtmb:

I'm pleased to hear you are feeling better @liliana, some days are just bad days aren't they? :grphg:
I hope your hubby is feeling ok after his ordeal yesterday, I hate needles too :yikes:.

@lost_in_france are you originally from Edinburgh? its a lovely place, I'd like to go again next year with Kev, I fancy going to the botanic gardens :) I hope your foot is ok :grphg:

@shiney sounds like you have a busy day. Mmmmm slugs! I have a little menace in my greenhouse, he's nibbled my cucumber plant, I shall get the little menace :paladin:, poor Mrs S loosing her courgettes to the dam slug .

As you can tell I'm having a slow day today, not under too much pressure which is nice, but even so I'd better get washed & dressed & head out to work, I worked a long day yesterday to take the pressure off today.
                    Have a nice day :spinning:

                          Morning all

Looks like we had quite a bit of rain during the night, that'll save me watering this morning

My foot's much better today thanks Loli, no nasty reaction, just an annoying itch

I'm from near Glasgow Beckie but I do like a day out in Edinburgh

Hope your hubby is over his op Lilliana, and that you're starting to feel a bit better too

Sending good thoughts to all, hope your day is a good one

                              Good morning,

I hope everyone's on top form this morning? :)

Golly it was hot yesterday, I thought we were going to get a thunder storm, no sign of a storm but a lot of rain here from about 23.00 last night, that's good there won't be so much watering this morning!
I've been on the phone to hubby for about an hour this morning he's on his way back from Edinburgh, it will be nice to have him back home.......the mess he will make won't be nice!!!
I'm going to have an hour in the garden before I head out this morning, I hope to clear a few weeds after the rain they should pull out easily.
                              Enjoy your day everyone :)

Gosh! It was hot and sticky yesterday!!! :phew:

We got quite a lot done in the garden :blue thumb: Michael was in to give a hand :yay: :heehee:. I mowed, re-dug the area in the veg plot that I'd watered the day before and put in canes and tied everything in, kept the sprinkler going on different parts of the garden, tied back a number of shrubs that were drooping too much and did some work in the greenhouse. Mrs Shiney did a lot of repotting and making up of pots, and cut back some shrubs. Michael did the heavy work of digging out ash trees (one had suddenly grown to 4ft) and other big weeds and then pruned all the lilacs, cut the laurel down one side o the garden and started on the privet hedge on the other side. A good day's gardening :dbgrtmb:

Today I hope to get all the rest of the mowing done (all the most difficult bits) and that grass is at least six inches high. All our viburnums need trimming but I may leave that for Michael as they're so big - each one is 7ft high and about 15ft long! He can use his hedgecutter.

Thinking about all that has made me tired and I need a rest. :roflol:

I think I'll take a break and read all the new tax rules - some light reading!!!

Keep well and have a great day

                                Aloha!
