Apologies in advance if I upset anyone's sensibilities, won't be everyone's thing.
Right, mine and Aunt Sally's daughter, Dolly Clothespeg gave birth to a beautiful little Turnip, AKA Jacob. We were both there during the birth, which occurred at 6:27 yesterday evening. The pic was taken seconds after

    I'm so chuffed, I can't say :)

Thanks. It really was something special, hard to put into words. I'm guessing there's not many grandfathers that will experience this. I feel so lucky :)
Oh yes, and I cut the cord.

Thanks Jenny (my daughters name also:)). It was as you might be able to tell, a home birth, and yes, the midwives were brilliant. Sadly, the father wasn't present, he's not interested, his loss. I'm not bitter though. It was a painful birth, as the baby was in a difficult position, apparently. She even wanted someone to just kill her to get away from the pain, pleading with me even, not nice. It was though a wonderful bonding experience.

It is a difficult time for a mum to be. Bet she was so glad you and your strength were there to give her courage and support Freddy...
such a bond for you and your daughter,

Freddy, thank you for sharing this exceptional report. :hapydancsmil: Glad it all went well. With a home birth, there is always the off chance that the mother/baby may require some extra support for which it would be more practical to be in the hospital. But in this case you managed. The baby looks absolutely gorgeous. Well done to the parents that created such a beautiful child!:spinning:
