    Oh yes, of course.
    That makes perfect sense.

    Good ole Duckworth and Lewis.
Kind of makes the "playing bit" insignificant, would be a good idea if Duckworth and Lewis just sat down and decided the outcome of the forthcoming ashes, save a whole lot of hassle.;)

As you can see from the formula there is no variable allowance for unlimited overs or for no target score :lunapic 130165696578242 5:

Anyway, it would take the fun out of watching a wound up James Anderson bowling at our convict cousins :heehee:

A great win for England to end a thoroughly entertaining series. I believe New Zealand should take much of the credit, for it was their positive, attacking approach which set the tone and perhaps forced England to adopt a similar approach to compete with them.

It will be interesting to see if this new style of play carries over into the ashes series, given that only a few players now play in both the one day and test teams.

Whichever way the result went it was always going to be a series to remember and enjoy. The series win was the icing on the cake though.

It would be great to see them come out all guns blazing if their backs are against the wall! Cook as the anchor and the young guns trying to smack them into the car park. A large part of the Aussies game is to intimidate - if the confidence carries over to the test squad and they can go toe to toe with them then half the battle will be won. I'm looking forward to it a lot more than I was over the winter, that's for sure.

My only bug bear is that we've not picked a recognised spinner (ie Rashid)
Moeen Ali is not bowling enough in county games!

The guys going out to Spain are not the definitive squad so there is still hope for Rashid.

Who's brain wave was it to put Australia against the lowest team in the county championship for some batting practice:doh:

They're winning a one sided match which will boost they're confidence which is good as they're well known for lacking belief in themselves :lunapic 130165696578242 5:

Australian fast bowler Ryan Harris has retired with immediate effect. Good news for England.
