    Good morning @Fern4 my dear friend I will certainly give it a go but I will have to ask admin for some help,but I do want to approach this with a little caution,this is only my personal view,that as much as I love photography (its second to my love of Roses) at the moment if everyone is agreeable I think it would be wise to just have the Monthly comp and then see what the future holds;)

    @Fern4 is this the thread? if it is it is a sticky thread and without Admin status I cannot unlock it,which makes it a little difficult:whistle:Still as my great Nan used to tell me"There's no such thing as a problem just an opportunity"

      Good morning Woo. Silly me! I thought because you were going to run the comps and because you have been a member of Admin before, that you were being given temporary admin status so you could lock and unlock the threads so you can run the competitions! :doh::redface:

      Yes, that's the correct thread but looking at it, I've realised that there are only 11 photos. It looks like we didn't get to vote on the December 2014 photo of the month either. It's getting more complicated by the minute!! As you say, perhaps it's best to stick to the new monthly competitions and see what the future brings.....

      And I'm looking forward to seeing what your choice of subject is for July! :) :thumbsup:

            @wiseowl

            Such fun !!!!

            What used to throw me is for the voting it would be on a new thread cant it all be kept on the same one to make it easier rather than jumping to one thread then the next

                        Not locking the thread for submitting images (for subsequent voting) would enable continued submission of entries throughout the voting period, which could well happen as there used to be entries (and votes) continuing to be submitted after deadlines had passed when threads were not locked in time.

                        I would suggest that a polite PM/Conversation to anybody submitting either entries or votes after deadlines have passed, respectfully pointing out that their late entry/vote cannot be considered.

                        I'm looking forward to participating in the comps again, @wiseowl have you got the subject for the next (July) competition yet? I don't know how many months lapse between somebody winning and their choice of subject coming up, but if it's more than one month I personally think it would be great to have a sticky detailing the subjects for forthcoming comps.

                          Good afternon @Scrungee my friend,point taken,what I will do is pm one of our admin friends and they will I am sure lock the thread for me at the given time.

                          This is the link for the July Photo Comp

                          http://gardenerscorner.co.uk/forum/threads/monthly-photo-comp-for-july.99039/

                          Well in the past its been the custom that the winner of the previous month chose the new theme,and as that seemed to work OK ,and I am only doing it until Marley returns,I wouldn't like to change it to much as it is Marley's baby so to speak,so you see the difficulty in having more than one month in front,the only way I can see round it is if the winner of the upcoming July Photo comp gives yours truly not one month but two months themes ,that would make sure of at least having one theme in hand all the time:smile:

                            That sounds good to me, it would only be a 'one off' and a great reward/incentive to the winner of July's reinvigorated competition, 2 subjects to choose for future comps for the price of one! It really makes sense to me to be at least one month's subject in hand.
