Being out of the game for a number of years didn't realise things were so bad in the IOM, I understand your dilemma, try not to drop your price too low as having had it on the market for such a short period of time you may not be giving it a fair chance, (I sold property for many years) ensure your photos are different to others, make them inviting, or have you left the agent to take the photos?

I've sold in all sorts of markets and been caught out in a crash in the past by not lowering my price enough to keep up with the falling market prices at the time. Because of that I lost a third of the value of my home. I'm not going to risk that here in what is, in effect a dead market. Insecurity from recession is stopping people buying unless they find a bargain. If interest is shown by prospective buyers with my price drop then I will hold fire for a while. My property will also be end of chain which makes it more attractive. I also have to contend with three other properties for sale in my road so I'm dropping my price below theirs. :)

I was not happy with my agents details. Eight written mistakes and I replaced four of the photographs with my own.

Hey @Sheal I knew you were moving but not to come and join me:). Fear not re getting plants for any new garden, you can have loads from mine including a wee bit of the lovely Iris you sent me!
Have you any idea as to whereabouts you are going to move to? I have lived in various parts and you would be amazed if you don't already know that the East and West of the country have amazingly different climates with The West being warmer and very wet and The East being colder but much much drier. I lived in The West for 18 months and couldn't stand it any longer and moved back to The East as I enjoy an outside lifestyle. That said there are some lovely areas in The West. The climate we have here in Fife is quite similar to Lincolnshire ( told this by a professional gardener who worked in Lincolnshire for many years.)
I do hope you manage to sell you house quickly and well, a very stressful proceedings at the best of times. If I can assist in anyway just ask away and I'll do my best to help if I can.

Please check my post #2251 Silu that will tell you what I'm up to. :)

My heart has always been in Scotland although I'm English. I've studied it's early history for many years up to and including the Highland Clearances and feel a particular connection to the Glen Orchy region in the highlands. Although I won't be moving to the highlands access will be easier. :)

Cool out there this morning and there was a lovely red tinge to the clouds five minutes ago although the have now changed to white:snork:

Hope it doesn't get too hot this week, although I like it warm I don't do heat with my fair skin:biggrin:

Stay cool everyone and remember to keep the fluids flowing so that you don't get too dehydrated:biggrin:

PS,not too sure if I am posting in the right thread for the weather as it is all talk about house moving further up the page:mute:

Scotland is beautiful apart from all the wet stuff, midges and the fact that they don't talk English so I can never understand a word they say what with me being a bit deaf and all that:biggrin:

Cloudy and dull here. The temp is 17.5C. I really hope it doesn't get too hot here this week. We're not lovers of heat in this house for health reasons. My outdoor toms will like it though. :)

A perfect Summer's day for me. A delicious constant warm breeze and very high speckled fair weather clouds way up high. About mid 70's F and not sticky or humid,
