The 2 he created are called 'Katie' (could be Katy?) and 'Lucy' they are a cross from the same 2 parent plants but one pollinating the flower on one plant, and the other pollinating the other created 2 different types of pods of the subsequent plants grown from the seed.

Ours don't look anything near as good .

All our plants are looking rather tatty but the Shiney Hybrids are producing like mad and we've been eating them for a few weeks. The Nagas have produced a lot of tiny pods (always slower than S Hybrids) but the leaves are looking very wrinkled and crumpled and have done so all the time.

The only large fruiting plant is the Jo Long that someone gave us. The fruits are a good three inches long. I don't know anything about how big they grow or how hot they are!

Actually, ours have grown to about 18" but are slow to flower. Yes, their leaves are very wrinkly.

I treated mine to some Buddhas Tree PK 9-18 yesterday, I have loads of flower buds, so now's the time to hit them with the PK boost.

I still have loads in 9cm pots which are the same age as those potted up above, it's surprising how restricting the roots restricts the overall growth.

A few more chilli's potted up, I have around 60 in here (excluding Tomato and Aubergine Plants), there are 63 plants in the polytunnel above, so almost enough to fill Tunnel #2

                        Well done Nathan,
they all look in such wonderful condition. Are you growing them commercially? Think there maybe a few too many for one household...

                          DRAT!
I was just moving my to heavy Tokyo Hot Chillies , to stake them in more securely. One toppled over and broke the stem , losing 50% off the plant.:gaah: Will this rather serious looking cleft heal by itself , or is there anything I should do ? The plants are now securely staked. And I did get a nice crop of quite hot Chillies from the broken bit :blue thumb:

They're pretty tough plants so you may have a good chance. :fingers crossed: :)

I've just, belatedly, started potting on some of my Nagas. When I went to lift some of the pots from the propagator they carried about 1lb each of sand and gravel in the roots sticking out the bottom. :hate-shocked: Those pots got cut away at the sides but I left the bottoms with the roots through them.

They were in 2ltr pots and very potbound! A good soaking tonight and then a feed tomorrow should help.

I may pot on some of the Shiney Hybrids. I've been picking those for about a month now. :blue thumb:

Photos tomorrow if I get a chance.
