    Morning all!

I've been lurking around the forum for a while now and felt it was about time that I signed up and got involved.

Since I was a wee lad, I've always been interested in gardens and gardening as a hobby, I put this 100% down to my mother and grandmother as they're both heavily engrossed in their gardens.

I've only recently bought myself a house (new build) complete with a blank canvas garden which has allowed me to fully develop my previous interest in gardening into a full blown addiction.

I've been taking progress photos of the landscaping and planting so far... i can't wait to post some more photos and get some sound advice on what to plant and how to tend to my garden. Here is a photo of what I bought, along with the design and plans that I created so that I know where I'm going with it all.

Stay tuned for more images! :)

    Speak soon,
    Dave

Well that's going to earn you a special place in members hearts and minds right there! We all love progress threads: very plagerisable inspirational :heehee:
10x4 mtrs (I think) is a good size for new build - some I have seen are nothing larger than pocket handkerchiefs, with a top soil of only an inch and "subsoil" of rubble, rubble and yet more rubble :rolleyespink:
Like the look of your plans - it does suggest a minimalistic approach. So, plants then and not produce?

It's a minimal plan, but all of those soil borders are going to be filled with plants (hopefully) and the raised planter on the right will be used for produce. Already got strawberries and beetroots in posts ready to move over once harvested.

I'll probably post the progress later today... just getting all of the photo's together :)

Hi and welcome! Nice garden plan. I'm working mine out on Sketchup, but it changes on a weekly basis. V3 so far! Looking forward to seeing your progress. Good luck with it all :)
