Christmas Spuds?

So has anyone had lovely home grown spuds for Christmas before? I'm thinking of giving it a go this year any reccomended varieties? Where to get the seed potatoes?

Also anyone used these floppy pots from Poundland before? They look ideal

Normally wait till August, local nursery gets Charlottes in especially for that

Thanks Zigs I thought I'd have a go with 'Charlotte' as I read it's the easiest form to begin with and its also an acceptable roaster where as the other reccomended second cropping varieties are mentioned as salad potatoes...

Anything else easy I can't go wrong growing in pots for Christmas dinner?
