    ...

Back in March time, I planted some convolvulus tricolor seeds - I was so proud of myself (not least for being on time) I even posted on the "What jobs.. today" thread :)

When I spotted growth, I lovingly watered them :)
Every two weeks, I lovingly feed them when I watered them :)
    And they grew :blue thumb:
    And grew :wub2:
So, I watered, I fed and watered and I watered again :)
They can grow up to 8ft in a season - and they kept growing despite the ups and downs in temperatures and weather this year. Hardy souls!

On Friday, someone even asked me what I was growing around my spiders web? And, I proudly boasted its Convolvulus Tricolour (not always easy to get your tongue around) proud of how I had nurtured them :wub2:

Yesterdays heat was enough to swell those flower buds to almost opening ... and, today, well today was *the* day that the first flower honoured me its reward for my labours ...

    ... and, here she is :wub2: ....

BLIDDY BINDWEED!!!!! :th scifD36: :thud: :gaah:

And so, suffice to say, all shoots, and as many roots as I could manage, are now off to that great "wildflower" haven in the sky :paladin:

I did say I knew they were related :heehee: But, the white variety in the tri-colour should have had a yellow centre?
Ripped the scrounging beggar out this morning anyway, so it can go sing for any further supper. Hrrumph! :nonofinger:

            Not entirely accurate.

A very kind, and generous, soul on here sent me a special package today which more than made up for my Bindweed Nurturing Experiment (for every negative, there is always a positive )

I am blessed :wub2: (with more than just bindweed :lunapic 130165696578242 5: )

                  Oh "M",

What are we gonna do with you........

                  ( I'm sure that's gonna get some answers ) ! ! !

You tried Convolvulus, these are Ipomea .

That's like saying " I won't grow Evening Primroses or Godetia because I don't like Fuchsias".

                  Same family but totally different.
