          Hmmm.....now there's an offer...... :) Kidderminster......never been there but it's the birthplace of someone I hold in high esteem. :) The price of the air fare......makes it sound even better. :)

              I can only think of Sir Rowland Hill or the Catesby brothers who were actually born here, but, plenty of famous residents.

              How about ferry and then a limousine ?

                Sorry Sheal, a famous resident. Born in West Bromwich, about 15 miles from here.

                I thought you were going to say Sir Robert Catesby, the man who tried to blow up Parliament . The deed for which Guy Fawkes is remembered as he was the one caught with his hands on the gunpowder.

                      You're right of course, my old brain has failed me yet again. :doh: He did grow up around Kidderminster though I believe. In fact it's not long ago I read another biography about him, I should remember these things.

                      Although I read a lot of history I know very little about Sir Robert Catesby, my interest stops at the Tudors and beyond. :)
