    Hi Spruce,

    I realise that this is different to your situation ( me being 100' up on the 8th floor and you being down there on the ground ) , but, we are told not to do anything that creates noise or disturbance before 9 am.
    There is a law about noise on an evening and the cut off there is 10 pm unless it's a party and you have notified your neighbours in writing. This is for everyone.

      Good morning @Spruce my friend I would agree 9am and I am one Owl who tends to to consider the neighbours,when I light a bonfire I tend to inform them in case they have some washing hanging out,they know my views on healthy and happy human being's laying in bed after 9am ,8 hours sleep is enough for anyone(to much for me)so if they went to bed at midnight

      that's 9 hours and if they are tired that's their fault:sofa::lunapic 130165696578242 5:

            I always leave it to around 10 on Sunday , and after 8:30 during the week. My friend at work has a neighbour who mows the lawn at 10pm !

              I leave it until 9am on any day, although I am an early bird so I'd do it at 5am if I thought the neighbours wouldn't mind.

                  @Spruce, I have a rule in my world......if I'm up everyone's up!!! :lunapic 130165696578242 5: Joking aside we have retired neighbours & they are always up @ 7am, I wouldn't make any noise until after then & when I know they have friends/family visiting I never make a sound until after 9am. :)

                    It's not the done thing here to mow the lawn or use power tools at any time on a Sunday. Everyone pretty much sticks to it as well. Wish I could say the same for the quad bikes and gun club - but they are classed as 'recreational' so that's ok

                        If you respect and have good neighbours then 9-10-11am, but watch for the people that work nights :dbgrtmb: and the Surgeons who do difficult op's
                        If you have neighbours that don't resect you then any time :mute:
                        Respect works both ways

                          There's only one Sunday in the year I use my lawnmower or any noisy tools, I like to think it's respect for my neighbours. However, that doesn't seem to apply to anyone else that lives here, including the continuing work on a couple of new builds! :doh:
