          Yeah, that looks like the perennial Papaver Orientale to me.
          Perhaps someone else can confirm it, I'm sure someone has put pics up before of one called Patti's Plum.

            I really love this one as its so bold in colour and it keeps its flower for a lot longer than the others

              That's such a lovely colour and very pretty, do you cut the pods off or leave it to scatter its seeds? I can't believe how many I have to pull up every week , they keep pop up everywhere

              It a perennial poppy, Apple Blossom, so if I want to propagate it, or any other of my perennial Poppies, I just divide the roots and keep it well watered. Annual Poppy seeds like newly disturbed ground on which to grow so I usually give the soil a quick rake and then just sow on top without covering them. Patties Plum is my favourite as it's a metallic wine colour and, to me, very distinctive and pretty.
