Had a total disaster. I found red spider mite on a year old plant that was sharing a space with nearly 100 seedlings. So the seedlings have been binned. I cannot risk RSM taking a hold. So all but two Canna are gone along with many others.

Sometimes we have to be cruel to be kind. Why is it there's always guilt attached when we bin what are basically good plants?

I'm annoyed at myself. I should have checked the older plant. All but two of the Canna are gone and a lot of Salvia. I only have one Bauhinia left and no Sesbania formosa :frown:

So sorry to hear about your RSM LongK. I have recently had it for the first time. Is there any way that you can nurse plants through it? I had it on my Sonchus - my great ugly dandelion. I cut a lot of material off and put it outside and it seems to be OK now. But I have recently just seen it on a Tropaeolum tricolor - which is very small and frail anyway.

The odd plant yes but as there were so many seedlings I decided just to cut my losses. On specimen plants I would tackle it. My BoP had it outdoors last year but a couple of frosts sorted that out. My Cantua has it outdoors again this year though :gaah:
