ONLY A ROSE - 2015

That's really interesting because I thought it had a very strong apple fruity fragrance.... It actually states on the label that it is almost bomb resistant!!..... its such a pretty pink and I'm looking forward to seeing it in full bloom...

I think I will keep Burgundy Ice as the colour is so very unusual and I think it will blend well with the others

Ah thank you Beckie, I'm really chuffed with myself today, I took Tess with me so I didn't have to rush back and just enjoyed my afternoon walking around the roses, it is truely amazing to see so many. Elle ...oh the scent is so wonderful,



I'm having a few hicups with them at the moment but determined to have a good show

 

Lovely choice of roses Apple Blossom.

It takes a while to get used to caring for roses as they are a little more complicated than most other plants. You will soon settle into a pattern of how to look after them and what their needs are.

 

Thank you Sheal, I just can't believe how different they are it's like having children again all wanting their individual needs I just can't seem to get 'enchantress' right, the buds come, look really healthy, they open and then just drop, I've fed it, watered it, watered it less etc. etc. but I'm determined to get it right as it's such a beautiful rose and you can smell the perfume around the garden not sure where I'm going wrong with this one

 

I've just had a really good chuckle at your comment, I'm finding all plants complicated at the moment the life of a novice!

 

My roses:-

Golden Shower - difficult to get a picture of her in full bloom because there are many, many teeny beetles enjoying her pollen.



Unknown pretty one: the blooms last a few days and lighten to a mottled pink.



Miss Alice (who really has stolen my heart! Makes up for having to leave my Just Joey behind at the old house).

I'm not doing very well with The Enchantress and not sure why the new roses are looking like this ....very limp




It looks very healthy but for a few leaves looking like this...



It's not the same as the leaves that were on Absolutely Fabulous and the dark spots are not black spot they are just mottled

Is there something that I am doing wrong Woo?
