With time it will all fall into place, but when you've concentrated on ousting the weeds, controlling the triffids and nurturing the sick then you'll have it sussed! It won't take long.......I promise.

Good evening @Apple Blossom H.T. Un-named until October 2011 when the winner of a competition to name this rose was picked from hundreds of entries received at the New Forest Show in July.

You are not doing anything wrong my friend,I just think that the buds are very slow in opening,I would respectfully suggest that you remove the affected leaf/leaves,I cannot trace anything about this Rose breeding ect,but in my opinion for what its worth as it matures it the buds will improve, but just give it time to settle in to its new home and it will be happy;)

This is the American Rose Enchantress which has a lot of Bud problems:smile:

          :heehee: :grphg:

          Agreed!

@Apple Blossom - look at my join date; that is when I was *you* :heehee: There are days when someone puts something up for an I.D., or, asks a question and I know the answer without thinking and then, after posting (especially if someone hits the "Agreed" button) I'm like :yikes:  :pathd: with myself. It's simply amazing how much, and how quickly, you learn things - but most especially on here where the members are so friendly, patient, polite and knowledgeable :spinning:

But, let's not forget, it is also the *doing* and after just one season, I'll bet you will be amazed at just how much you have learned at your own fingertips

Thank you Woo for your advise, I will carry on doing what I'm doing with the hope that it will improve in time. I have been following your previous advise and remove the leaves daily so that it is kept healthy.

Good morning @Apple Blossom and I am still making Rose mistakes ,each year is so different and weather wise, its been a good year this year, but I often look back at the old Rose threads and one year I lost all my best Roses(wind and rain)another year Black spot,;) and when each problem is solved you will remember the actions you took with your Rose and pass it on to the rest of us, enjoy your day:smile:
