It could be worse for England. The English innings was up and down but Moeen Ali went at the Ozzy bowlers this morning. It was also nice to see Mitchell Johnson getting wound up.

So, Australia need 412 to win, can't see them doing that. Let's hope the England bowlers can get some early wickets tomorrow morning and put the Aussies under some real pressure.

I am one very happy bunny today, I've just been given two tickets for the Lord's test, fourth day.

Me neither, but if they go defensive they may hold out for a draw. Two days is a long shot but they are too good to be discounted.

Better than that - they humbled the Aussies :hapydancsmil::lolpt:
That said, it was a very "English" pitch so the other tests may come a bit harder.

Sort of. English pitches tend to be quite inert offering little assistance to spin bowlers (unlike India) or to pace bowlers (Australia and to an extent SA).
But then you have Lords which is on a slope and can provide some unpredictable bounce, or the Oval which offers more swing than most.Mostly it is down to climate but a good head groundsman can manipulate the characteristics.

Sorry forgot, the "English" one was in Wales, almost.

I'm here to learn, cricket was something you was only allowed to do if you had all that white gear when I was at school.
Me, I just did the high jump most of the time.

When I was at school it was the game that I loved but was crap at. I never got my head around the fact that you didn't have to try to smack every delivery into the town centre and most of my bowling ended up around the batsmans head :yikes:

Me too, just the wrong sort of high jump.

I wasn't a bad bowler. I remember the batsman complaining to teacher that I was bowling too fast  Once I was shown how, I could also put down a mean 'spinner' from the back of the hand. My problem was that the ball was so blummin' hard, I didn't want to catch it

Dunno if I'd have been good enough to make the Australian test side though?
