Clothes moths are tiny (usually no more than 1cm and a goldish brown colour) so you don't have to worry about finding big moths in the house. :blue thumb:

Busy day yesterday - fixed the trellis that is at the top of the driveway, pressure washed the driveway and the front, washed the soffits, doors and windows, then we tied in all cucumbers which were getting a bit boisterous, de-robbered and tied in the tomatoes (they were only done last week, but needed doing again!), fed everything, planted up three 5ft trough planters, two double baskets and one single basket.

Also moved the hanging basket tree and petunia tree to the front as they are at last starting to thicken up and look like planters - everything is so far behind this year

Thanks @shiney, you've calmed my nerves! I shall put the Hoover back in the cupboard & get the trowel back out of the shed! :heehee: The poor Hoover needs a break!

Argh! That cheeky dam rabbit! :paladin: There's going to have to be at war at Shineyland :paladin:

Good morning I feel another project coming on:whistle:

I shall be removing a large Bamboo from the top of the garden to the centre of my lawn at the bottom of the garden, the reason being that where I sit in my wildlife area its blocking my view of the pond, and I think that the garden looks unbalanced(heavy one side ,and this should equal it out a bit;)

Have turned over the soil to a depth of 18 inches this border this morning to be replanted:smile:

Squish! Just a bit of dead heading, and removal
of volunteer Californian poppies. Now there is enough room for another climbing rose, and 3 new shrubs :)

Finally got the Rose garden cleared.

Willow has been beheaded :) , now there's just a stump about 4" high.
Gonna give this a good drink of brushwood killer.

Planted 18 Euonymous around the two sides just behind the Aubrieta. Hopefully we can get this to join up with the Box hedge which is around the front end of the bed.

Also, got some Alyssum Saxatile seedlings to put in as i love the combination of the gold Alyssum and purple Aubieta in the spring.

So, now we're ready to lay the weed suppressant and get the gravel.

Then it'll be piccy time :)

I like the Alyssum Anthony. I might give that a go if I'm still here next year. :)

Thanks for the offer Anthony, I may take you up on it. :dbgrtmb:

Even though I'm not investing in the gardens now because of the eventual move, I still have an overwhelming desire to grow and I've always preferred growing to gardening. With the almost complete failure of my annuals this year because of the weather I've decided to grow a load of winter pansies which I haven't grown for five or six years and fill all the pots with them. My basket Begonias have failed too so they will be ousted ready for pansies. If I can't have colour for summer, I'll have it for winter instead!
