Very hot here today 71f outside and 80f inside but with a nice breeze blowing.

Been for a nice walk from Ringstead along the Peddars Way and Mr Kandy has worked it out to be four miles so not too bad.

Some of the farmers have left large areas round the edges of their fields and planted them up with wild flowers and the bees, butterflies, burnet moths have been loving the flowers.I rescued two beetles which were lying on their backs and were unable to turn over and then found a bee in the road so had to take it to a flower patch for some help which it was greatful for.I can now sleep well tonight after my random act of kindness:biggrin:

Hope you are all having a good day and not getting to brown and burnt unlike us:snork:

      Reached 25C today.
Its, as of the last few minutes, clouded over and looks a bit threatening.

We have not had any real rain to wet the ground for a few weeks now, and things are a bit dry even by my standards, so a down pour for an hour or so would be welcome.
Just as long as it knows when to stop.;)

Banner day on the sunshine front, but have to agree with @pete - some rain would do the ground a world of good right now! We've had the cloud, but, not the rain ... bring it on! Please!?

I've got plenty @"M" how much do you want?

The weather so far this year has been lousy and doesn't look set to improve as yet. More wind and rain recently and more damage in the garden.

Today has been cloudy and windy with some drizzle thrown in. Even the temperatures are not up to much, 15C today.

What a ridiculous climate we have. Howling gales and torrential rain for last 2 days, now sun splitting the heavens HOT and not a puff of wind. They will scorch round The Open Golf at St Andrews today. With it running an extra day I'm going to have fun trying to get to St Andrews tomorrow for a dental appointment! Might, if not toooo crowded, go and watch the golf after the dentist IF I can actually get into St Andrews.

The sun is in and out and it's a bit breezy again. It's 17.1C ....nice weather for gardening. :spinning: If the wind stops for 5 mins I might be able to take a photo of a flower for the GC comp. I've been trying over the last couple of days and the photos are all blurred. David Bailey I aint!:snork:

Well at least some of the forecast rain arrived - a very disappointing 10 minute storm on Friday after a black sky full of so much promise. However yesterday evening, after another hot, stuffy day, we had about 45 minutes of steady, intense rain. I would've liked it to continue all night to give everything a really good soak, but it was better than nothing. The weathermen don't seem to have a clue when this heatwave is going to end. They keep saying it will, and then change their minds. This weekend was supposed to be a 'brief respite' from the excessive heat we've had for the last three weeks, but the temperatures have only dropped a couple of degrees to 32°C. They are set to rise again tomorrow and the rest of the week.[emoji21]
