Those Euonymous are quite close together. They don't really need it if you have space to spread them out. :blue thumb:

      Hi Shiney,
Thanks for that, never grown them before, will get them sorted later. How far apart would you say ? We want them to knit together as a sort of mini-hedge.

It depends on how quickly you want it to look like a hedge. It doesn't matter having them that close if you don't have somewhere else to put some of them. Otherwise you can space them about 18" apart.

Depending on how quickly you want them to make a hedge, and what variety they are, is a factor as well.

These golden ones were each one plant!

This photo (take non our open day) shows a silver euonymous in the foreground (trained up a trellis) and in the distant background is a green and gold kept as a large shrub. They can be kept at almost any size you wish by trimming or letting them grow.

            Hi Intel,

No 2 and No 3 are both Penstemons, sorry don't know the actual variety names but both are hardy perennials.

No 5 and No 6 are both Coleus and will have to be taken in for the winter.

The Fuchsia needs to be planted deeper for extra frost protection.

.........And the little bird, looking at it's colouring could be a Chaffinch. :heehee:

                    Should have taken a piccy.
Will take one the next time at me mums.

All nice bushy plants in 3" square pots. The Tiarella is the largest, about 6" high and just coming into flower.
