      Hi sorry for the delay:)
Im glad it wasnt a tear duct issue as i think i would of had a breakdown facing the proceedures you both had! @Kandy @NorthantsGeezer
Thanking you all for your well wishes and advice:grphg: x
I got to my appointment friday morning biting my nails:sad: and a long story short is that i was told if i needed that procedure then i would have to go private! i was sent off with a prescription for antibiotic eye cream and drops for dry eyes to apply for 4 weeks:phew:,why my doctor sent me i have no idea,it worries me that he didnt know the nhs dont do this procdure or why he didnt offer me the cream on numerous appointments with him:noidea:
Maybe i should inform as it doesnt seem GPs are getting updated info :dunno:

Oh my god, the NHS strikes again.

I know somebody who had a that quite far up the eyelid. He was worried too but he said that it's a bit strange having someone holding your eyelid, but that's the worst bit. It's just unusual. They made a small cut to drain the fluid and it felt tonnes better instantly.

          You'll be fine @joolz68 :dbgrtmb:

All i ended up with was a blood blistered eye lid from her twisting it inside out to look at the blocked duct which is a hard waxy lump :ouch1: @Radiation91
You have to go private if you want a drain procedure now :frown:

That is just typical Joolz! All that fretting to be told it's not going to happen! :doh:I hope it sorts itself out for you it must be uncomfortable.

I'd certainly tell your doctor what happened. Quite often GP's aren't told that procedures have changed at hospitals.....in fact, quite often GP's aren't told anything that happens at the hospitals as I've been finding out in the last couple of years.

When I was in hospital, I kept getting the 'you are going home', then 'no your not' lines.
The doctors can never agree between them when I go in. It's usually about ecg's.
I hope you get sorted out soon @joolz68 .
Please keep us up to date :blue thumb:. In the meantime, I hope the cream works for you.

To right! I found myself playing the go between with two hospital departments a couple of months ago. I was being given excuses by both for the lack of communication between them and my medication being held up because of it. I was literally walking from one to the other just minutes apart until I realised what I was doing. I then exploded at a member of staff and said I wasn't their gofer but their patient and the way I had been treated (excuse the pun) was not on! Have things got any further between them? I'll find out tomorrow!
